Curren Caples to Re-Sign With Vans

Curren Caples has agreed to terms on a new 3 year shoe deal with Vans shoes which will take Curren into his pro career. Curren has been on the am program with Vans for over 3 years and is happy to continue to ride for the brand for the next 3.

Terms of the deal are undisclosed at this time.

Chad Kerley Goes Pro for Nike

Nike announced before the long weekend that its newest pro is RPRT client Chad Kerley. Already pro for Premium Bikes, Chad is gaining a lot of momentum and a few new deals are about to be announced.

Chad is prepping for the first stop in the Dew Tour, X Games (alternate) and filming for the 5th season of “Camp Woodward.”

Chad Kerley Signs with Dan’s Comp!

The number one name in BMX mail order, Dan’s Comp, has signed Chad Kerley to join its team. Chad signed on with the retailer this week and will join riders such as Brett Banasiewicz, Nigel Sylvester and Corey Martinez.

Luan Oliveira Wins CPH Pro!

Luan Oliveira won the Copenhagen Pro for the second year in a row beating out Chris Cole and Dennis Busenitz. David Gonzalez skated well too and wound up with a respectable 5th place in street finals.

Curren Caples skated to an 8th place finish in the super competitive Bowl contest.

RPRT Clients Invited to Summer X Games 2011

Five RPRT clients have been invited to Summer X Games so far in both Skate and Moto. In skate, Curren Caples will once again be skating in Superpark and both David Gonzalez and Luan Oliveira have been invited for street. In Moto, Kyle Loza is back after a one-year injury hiatus for Best Trick and Josh Hansen returns for Best Whip (there will be no Supercross in X Games this year).

Lopez and Caples Dominate at Berlin Clash

It was a huge weekend for the Flip Skateboard’s youngest amateurs, Curren Caples and Louie Lopez. Both flew to Berlin last week to compete in the invite-only Clash contest. Both skated unbelievably well in both the bowl and street contests with Curren winning the bowl contest and getting 4th in street and Louie getting 2nd in the street section. The boys are heading back to the States to prep for next week’s Maloof Money Cup in NY.

Skater Andrew Langi to Sign with RPRT

Chad Kerley + Team Win Nike 6.0’s “The Pool”

BMX prodigy Chad Kerley was part of the winning team in the UK this weekend for Nike 6.0’s “The Pool” contest. With teammates Dennis Enarson, Jeremiah Smith, and Josh Harrington, Kerley took home a check for 12k pounds and the 1st place podium.

The 10 best riders in the world picked 3 other riders in this team contest.

Louie Lopez Gets 3rd at Damn Am Atlanta

Louie Lopez skated to a 3rd place podium this weekend at the Damn Am in Hazard County, Atlanta. There were about 100 skaters in all competing and we are stoked that Louie continues to be a top am at all the SPOT contest.
