Nick Rozsa has launched his own website, saltybeards.com, which will feature new videos, blog posts and insights into Nick’s life as free surfer. To launch the site, Nick and his filmer Chris Papaleo have posted the last and fifth part of Nick’s well received “Homegrown Series.” The video closes out the series which thrust Nick into the limelight almost over night.

Curren Caples was chosen to be a part of an in-store promotion for Dutch retail chain C1000. Curren’s name and likeness will be used in conjunction with a vinyl toy giveaway which will take place later in the year. Curren will be attending the product launch in Europe once the date is determined.

Jeb Corliss has been invited to speak at The Spaceship Company, the spaceship development wing of Virgin Galactic, the consumer space flight program being developed by Sir Richard Branson.

On 4/12, Jeb will speak to a few hundred TSC employees about his experiences with flight and wingsuit piloting.

Jeb will also be giving a talk for Ted x Portland coming up on April 21st. More info can be found HERE.

Coming off a best trick win in 2011, Chad Kerley rode in this year’s Simpel Session and was clearly a crowd favorite. Getting 12th overall, Chad also won the highest bunnyhop contest!

The 10th Annual Cowtown Phoenix Am went down this last weekend and RPRT’s Louie Lopez placed 4th place out of almost 200 skaters. Curren Caples also skated well and just missed the finals by placing 13th place overall.

Word has leaked and we are confirming on 5/12/12 Vitaminwater will be hosting The Chad Kerley Invitational at The Bakery. 16-20 of the top BMX street riders in the world have been invited to the first ever contest being held at Brian Kachinsky’s Bakery. It is a best trick format hitting 5 obstacles, the fifth one will be a surprise obstacle never before seen or ridden.

Riders invited include Brian Kachinsky, Dennis Enarson, Nigel Sylvester, Chad Kerley and more. There will be a live broadcast.

RPRT clients Mark DellaGrotte (MMA) and Shane Borland (Skate + Surf) have committed to being part of the inaugural athlete team for highly popular coconut water drink, Zico. Mark and Shane will join such elite athletes as Bethany Hamilton and Kevin Garnett.

 

We are super excited to announce that RPRT client Nick Rozsa has signed on as the first athlete on Penny Skateboards. Penny, hailing from Australia, has hit on the hottest new trend of plastic retro skateboards from the 70’s. Penny boards are one of the fastest selling items in both surf and skate shops around the world. Nick Rozsa has staged a massive comeback in the surf industry with the release of his “Homegrown” series. As a lifelong skater, signing with Penny made sense to Nick since he actually rides one daily to check the waves!

Curren Caples has been chosen to skate in a recreation of a Mello Yello commercial from the 70’s featuring the Dogtown skaters. The commercial will be for the Japanese market and Curren will play the main character, which originally was played by Jay Adams. Mello Yello is owned by Coca-Cola and the commercial is being produced by Acne Production.

RPRT is now the go to source for film and tv productions looking to shoot skate and/or BMX segments. Repping iconic California pools as well as private skate parks, RPRT will also be working with The Bakery, owned by BMX client Brian Kachinsky.
