Continuing on her contest tear, Tia Blanco went all the way to the final at the Costa Rica Essential Pro. Dominating her heats throughout the rounds with some of the highest waves scores of the day, Tia landed in the final. The surf was anemic and unfortunately she came up short in the final but her dominance throughout the contest shows she is mentally back on track to win contests again. This finish should jump her up 10-15 spots in the QS rankings.

Today it was announced that TCL, makers of fine HD televisions, has brought on Tia Blanco to be part of the family joining the likes of soccer legend Neymar Jr. and basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. To announce the partnership, TCL took Tia down to a remote spot in Mexico to make a beautiful film.

Tia Blanco and Roberta Mancino have been tapped to have authenticated signed trading cards for the elite Goodwin Champions by Upper Deck series. Every year Upper Deck identifies athletes who have met great accomplishments and create a commemorative series of cards. The cards are hand signed by the athletes and contain a swatch of fabric used in competition from the athlete.
For this series, Roberta donated a T-shirt from a skydiving competition and Tia gave a singlet from her ISA competition.
The cards will be out towards the end of the year.
Tia Blanco continues her international surf assault, this time taking top honors in British Columbia at the 2018 Tofino Pro. Hundreds lined the beach to cheer on local legends and international pros, as Tia surfed her best heats in pumping surf. Decked out in full rubber, Tia was able to pull out a convincing win in the final to be crowned champ.
Next stop for Tia is the Cabo Pro in Baja California.

Tia Blanco was tapped to co-star in a Ford of Southern California commercial. The spot features Tia and two “friends” meeting up for a day of California surf and snow. Tia is the featured surfer and snowboarder in the campaign which was shot in Mammoth and Malibu.

Tia Blanco heading to her birthplace this last week to take a convincing win at the Corona Pro PR in Rincón. The surf was good throughout the contest and Tia was on fire. With the win came a check for $5000 and the official announcement that Tia has joined TEAM PR moving forward to represent the team in ISA Worlds, Pan Am Games and hopefully 2020 Olympics in Japan.

Tia Blanco was recently added to the Swatch Global Athlete Team. Tia will join the likes of pro surfers Coco Ho and Courtney Conlogue and will exclusively wear their watches. Excited to surf with such great peers, Tia will soon be seen in a global ad campaign for the brand.
