In finals, he faced the heaviest hitters in the world and came out swinging right out of the gates with a 75 point ride. That garnered him a score high enough to hold on to second place for most the contest. In the end he was edged out but stayed on the podium at 3rd.

Tia Blanco heading to her birthplace this last week to take a convincing win at the Corona Pro PR in Rincón. The surf was good throughout the contest and Tia was on fire. With the win came a check for $5000 and the official announcement that Tia has joined TEAM PR moving forward to represent the team in ISA Worlds, Pan Am Games and hopefully 2020 Olympics in Japan.
Congrats T!
This week Tia Blanco did it again. Representing for TEAM USA at the ISA World Surfing Games, she retained her title and won gold in the individual competition. Team USA wound up getting a bronze medal because of Tia’s performance and they also got gold in the Aloha Cup team challenge. Tia surfed amazingly well all week in Jaco dominating most of her heats with huge carves, big hacks and a couple of super stylist laybacks.
Congrats Tia on your 2016 title win!
