Kerley Wins Best Trick, Makes Finals
In what was arguably the most stacked contest ever, the Vans Waffle Cup was held this weekend during the US Open of Surfing. Despite nursing multiple injuries, Chad Kerley could not give up the chance to participate in the most fun event of the year (thank god it’s back) with all his friends. Showcasing his tech mastery, Chad made the finals and in the end wound up winning the Best Trick contest with an unreal nose manual up, flat, down on a huge rail.
Congrats Chad and thank you Vans for the hospitality (especially Jerry Badders and Peter Dericks) and all you do for the culture.
