Chad Kerley has done it again and was the overall points leader in the street section of the team contest, Mongoose Jam, out at Camp Woodward today. Chad’s hard riding helped his team reach a third place finish. Jeremiah Smith was also a standout in all three disciplines with dirt (1st place), street (3rd place) and park (4th place) finishes and his team took 1st place overall. Brian Kachinsky showed up for Team Illingworth and threw some bangers as well including a backwards ice to tooth that made a few folks question their commitment to the sport.

Congrats boys.

Roberta Mancino’s images diving with the Patriot 3 Jet Boots will be used in the upcoming holiday Hammacher Schlemmer catalog and website. The boots will be offered for the first time to the public through the luxury gadget and product mail order company.

 

Jeb Corliss’s “Grinding The Crack” footage has been licensed recently to appear in a commercial campaign for a new Peugeot model. The commercial will appear in September throughout Europe, online and possibly the States.

Look for Jeb to complete another amazing stunt in China in October. This one is dubbed “Grinding The Crack 2.”

Last night at the X Games year end “Best Of…” wrap up event, Curren Caples was honored with the “Best Overall Performance” award for his gold medal win at Munich. Beating the awe inspiring riding of Pedro Barros was one of the biggest upsets of the year and a great way to follow up a silver medal from Barcelona.

Curren is honored to have this award and wants to thank his sponsors – Flip, Hurley, Oakley, Vans, Ricta, Mob Grip, and Momentum Ride Shop for the support.

In a hell of a contest, Chad Kerley finally grabbed his first gold medal at Summer X Games, dethroning the seven time reigning champ (and arguably the best street BMX athlete alive) Garrett Reynolds. Going into the final though, it was Jeremiah Smith who held the top slot. In the end it was a consistent flow of an insane amount of technical tricks that landed Kerley the win. Jeremiah grabbed a bronze and the respect of many showing what an amazing rider he really is.

RPRT is so proud of our BMX squad and congrats to Garrett for always bringing it and being a class act.

RPRT Youth Division’s Mikah Asher has booked a national spot for network Nick Jr. Mikah will be skateboarding in the spot and was chosen for his skills on the board at the young age of 7. The spot films next week and will air starting in late summer.

Dew Tour San Francisco is coming up in October and along with DT alum and RPRT clients David Gonzalez, Chad Kerley, Jeremiah Smith and Brian Kachinsky newcomers to the pro scene in skate Curren Caples and Louie Lopez will be competing.

Roberta Mancino has launched a new webseries with online content provider EPIC TV. The episodes will follow the adventures of Roberta as she travels around the world modeling, diving with wild animals, skydiving, B.A.S.E. jumping and wingsuiting.

Jeb Corliss has re-signed with hard protective case manufacturer, Pelican Cases. Jeb will be signed exclusively to promote their cases, lights and new line of iPhone/iPad protective cases.

Look for a new online ad campaign coming soon with Jeb for the phone case line.

Pelican is known for their virtually indestructible cases which are made in the U.S.A. and are avidly used in the film, outdoors, photo and government sectors.

In a nail biter of a final, Curren Caples edged out the Pedro Barros gold medal dynasty in his last run to take the top spot in Munich today. By bringing a fresh bag of street tricks to blend with his flowy surf style, Curren bests his last X Games final by taking the win. Qualifying first with the highest score in skateboard park for 2013, Curren was destined to win this time.
