Kerley Wins Street, Smith Wins Dirt at Mongoose Jam

mongoose7e-004b677c_thumbChad Kerley has done it again and was the overall points leader in the street section of the team contest, Mongoose Jam, out at Camp Woodward today. Chad’s hard riding helped his team reach a third place finish. Jeremiah Smith was also a standout in all three disciplines with dirt (1st place), street (3rd place) and park (4th place) finishes and his team took 1st place overall. Brian Kachinsky showed up for Team Illingworth and threw some bangers as well including a backwards ice to tooth that made a few folks question their commitment to the sport.

Congrats boys.

Jeb Corliss Footage To Appear In Peugeot Commercial

peugeotesJeb Corliss’s “Grinding The Crack” footage has been licensed recently to appear in a commercial campaign for a new Peugeot model. The commercial will appear in September throughout Europe, online and possibly the States.

Look for Jeb to complete another amazing stunt in China in October. This one is dubbed “Grinding The Crack 2.”

Caples Honored With “X Games Best Overall Performance – Munich”

ccx30804-00297Last night at the X Games year end “Best Of…” wrap up event, Curren Caples was honored with the “Best Overall Performance” award for his gold medal win at Munich. Beating the awe inspiring riding of Pedro Barros was one of the biggest upsets of the year and a great way to follow up a silver medal from Barcelona.

Kerley Grabs Gold, Smith Bronze in Street BMX at X Games

bmxIn a hell of a contest, Chad Kerley finally grabbed his first gold medal at Summer X Games, dethroning the seven time reigning champ (and arguably the best street BMX athlete alive) Garrett Reynolds. Going into the final though, it was Jeremiah Smith who held the top slot. In the end it was a consistent flow of an insane amount of technical tricks that landed Kerley the win. Jeremiah grabbed a bronze and the respect of many showing what an amazing rider he really is.

RPRT is so proud of our BMX squad and congrats to Garrett for always bringing it and being a class act.

Dew Tour SF Invites Announced – Lopez and Caples Added

Caples Takes X Games GOLD in Munich

Munich_smIn a nail biter of a final, Curren Caples edged out the Pedro Barros gold medal dynasty in his last run to take the top spot in Munich today. By bringing a fresh bag of street tricks to blend with his flowy surf style, Curren bests his last X Games final by taking the win. Qualifying first with the highest score in skateboard park for 2013, Curren was destined to win this time.
