Keegan Palmer entered the Vans Combi Am Contest reluctantly. Just a year early he suffered a huge leg break at the hands of the Combi bowl and it really stuck with him. Keegan set no expectations for himself but wound up coming out the winner of the 14u division dominating the final with a run that covered every nook and cranny of the legendary big bowl.

The ink is dry on yet another food based deal for Tia Blanco. Associated with pea protein based meat substitute Beyond Meat over the last year, Tia Blanco has signed a four year deal to be an official ambassador for the brand. Beyond Meat has been making headlines with their new groundbreaking Beyond Burger and having just recently taken an investment from Tyson Foods. Tia will be working with the brand to spread the word about meat substitutes through her personal channels and through Beyond Meat events and marketing.

Roberta Mancino has been included in a new campaign for Italian retailer Unieuro. Dubbed #humansoftechnology, the campaign focuses on great Italians who use technology to pursue their passions. Roberta sat for a print shoot and a web edit is forthcoming.

Keegan Palmer has signed paper to continue his relationship as an am for both Nike and Hurley. Keegan will exclusively wear Nike footwear and will dress in both Hurley and Nike clothing moving forward. As a surfer, Keegan will also be exclusively wearing Hurley wetsuits and rashguards.

Naturade, the makers of VeganSmart protein powders, have signed a one year deal with Tia Blanco for her to be a brand ambassador. Tia will also work with the company to offer her own signature products which will be distributed by Naturade to stores like Whole Foods, Krogers and CVS.
Tia is very excited to represent VeganSmart as a product she uses in her morning routine.
Louie Lopez had a great week at the always entertaining and non stop party that is CPH Open. Louie skated various events and wound up winning the jump ramp first place honors and fourth in street super final. Louie got second in the street semi’s just behind Nyjah Huston. Louie has become one of the most consistent pros out and is currently working on a new video part with Thrasher.
This week Tia Blanco did it again. Representing for TEAM USA at the ISA World Surfing Games, she retained her title and won gold in the individual competition. Team USA wound up getting a bronze medal because of Tia’s performance and they also got gold in the Aloha Cup team challenge. Tia surfed amazingly well all week in Jaco dominating most of her heats with huge carves, big hacks and a couple of super stylist laybacks.

Keegan Palmer has now joined a major legacy. Since he started skating, KP has wanted to be on Flip. Now, his dream is a reality. Joining the likes of Louie Lopez, Arto Saari, Lance Mountain and Ben Nordberg, Keegan has joined a team that is notorious for cultivating amazing skaters. Keegan was welcomed to the team at Arto’s house for a skate session and BBQ and will soon begin filming for Flip to debut his welcome part.

Christian Vera will be hosting TNT’s Facebook Live broadcast of the “Animal Kingdom” premiere party. The much anticipated show will premiere on June 8th in Venice, CA. Christian will be covering talent interviews before, during and after as well as hosting the red carpet. RPRT clients Jeb Corliss, Lindsey Jacobellis, Keegan Palmer, Ben Nordberg and Chad Kerley will all be in attendance as well.
Chad Kerley was booked by the FDA through X Games to be part of an anti-smoking project that will take place in the sponsor village at X Games Austin. Guests will be able to take selfies with a green screen interactive version of Chad and post the images to social media. As part of the interactive photo booth, several X Games athletes were chosen to be one of a handful of athletes that X Games goers could choose to take a pic with.
