Supergrom Shane Borland has committed to the Globe shoe program for both skate and surf! Shane is stoked on his new shoe sponsor and will be joining Volcom team members and RPRT clients Luan Oliviera, David Gonzalez, Mark Appleyard and Louie Lopez.

Global RallyCross Championship, who has partnered with ESPN, has hired RPRT to act as lifestyle communications agency of record. RPRT will work closely with the GRC PR and Marketing teams to help spread the word about the United States’ first RallyCross Championship series which will culminate at the X Games.

After a long weekend of some of the best skating in a long time, Luan Oliveira came out with a 5th place finish at Tampa Pro this weekend. The competition was tough and Luan killed the quarters and semi’s to land in the top 12 for the finals.

RPRT and Little Ruler, LLC have partnered with medical product giant Medline Industries, Inc. to bring officially licensed boardsports bandages to the marketplace. RPRT is the first company to ever pitch an idea to the international conglomerate and enter into a partnership.

The first products will involve the “Skate Series” of bandages under the Curad brand and will involve officially licensed artwork from Flip Skateboards, Creature Skateboards and NHS, Inc. The bandages are set to hit the shelves in April and will be first available in Walmart and Duane Reede locations.

Mark DellaGrotte has been hired to play himself in the upcoming Kevin James film “Here Comes The Boom.” Mark begins filming in April and the film takes place in Mark’s hometown of Boston.

The film co-stars Kevin James, Salma Hayek, Bas Rutten, Joe Rogan and others.

Baron has been tapped to score an original track for a Vans commercial starring RPRT client Geoff Rowley. Baron will be creating an original instrumental track in both :30 and :45 second versions.

Kelly Bolton, who has been on flow with DC, just committed to a two year shoe deal for their BMX team. Kelly is super stoked to have a home as a pro with DC, who has recently taken a lot more interest in their growing BMX program.

Congrats go out to the Gurgel’s who tied the knot a few weeks ago right in the midst of them both training for their next bouts, which took place this weekend. Both Jorge and Zoila pulled out victories this weekend. Zoila won a decision for Bellator 35 and Jorge made quick work of his last minute replacement opponent with 44 second submission.

Congrats to Z and Jorge on both the marriage and making all that hard work from your camps pay off!

Pretty exciting news for Louie Lopez as he becomes the first skater to sign a multi-year endorsement deal with Vitaminwater by Glaceau. Louie will join the team alongside such athletes as Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and snowboarder Jeremy Jones.
